Family Unit Support is a complementary service at our centre, guided by Dr Raquel Ribeiro in partnership with her project 1SÓ. It recognises each patient as part of a larger system: their family and their environment.
It is based on the understanding that health is expressed not only in the physical body, but also in the way each companion relates and responds to their emotional, family and environmental context. The aim is to support and guide the family, fostering greater awareness, balance and harmony in the bond between guardian and companion, and giving a voice to the companions who are part of the multispecies family.
This support for the family strengthens one of the essential pillars of health: the conscious balance of the family system.
It does not replace veterinary consultations or care: it complements the integrative, personalised clinical plan defined for each patient.
